There are lots of talk about the pana's fz series, the sony H1 and canon s2, but what about the coolpix 8800.... and the minolta z6..........
Surely these are at the top of the zoom cameras, I have seen better consistantly taken shots from the nikon then any of the mentioned above...... What do people think???? |

The Nikon Coolpix 8800 came out about a year ago. It takes great pictures in good light and has lots of nice features. However, some people didn't like it because it focused rather slowly and wasn't great for fast action shots. It's also more expensive than the H1 and S2. Some people say that for the same money, you can buy a DSLR and get better pictures.
The Minolta Z6 is a more recent product. I have heard only that maybe the picture quality isn't quite as good as the other cameras you mentioned. Also some people say the build quality isn't as good. However, you should check the Nikon and Minolta forums for the views of owners of these cameras. |
