Hello.

I'm failry new to digital cameras and I've made a point to read till I feel confused, so I need some help.
I am looking for a new camera for our shop for taking pictures for our catalog and website.

I am needing to get high quality photos of the sawmills we manf.. They are typically around 20ft. in length and I need to get not only the whole mill in the pic but as much detail as possible. At the same time I will be taking pictures inside of small objects like lock collars, and bearings.

Can someone steer me in the right direction?
Is it realistic to find a quality camera under $400 that can deliver professional looking pictures?

Thanks for the help.
James

You could look at the (Olympus C-7070 Wide Zoom) which also has Macro for the close up's you wanted but im not sure of the price.any camera with a good wide angle and a Macro would be ideal.

Also depending what country you reside and as you are going to use the Camera for your business, you may be able claim some of the cost back on your Tax.Check it out:idea:

Another camera worth looking at is the Ricoh Caplio R4 = Good Wide = 7x Zoom = Good Macro. You can read some owners opinions at ( dpreview.com ). The only problem with this camera is it has no Optical Viewfinder which some people don't like, but the 2.5inch screen should be pretty clear
