I need some help i am torn between definately two maybe three choices,

1 canon s3 is
2 canon a620
(i hear they discontinued the a620 so id like some reviews/opinions on the a630)

I think the Canon Powershot S3IS, but you can also consider the Kodak Z612, The Kodak P880/P850/P712. Or maybe some Fuji's, but i dont knw much about those....

Well, I have both the S3 and A610. I have the S3 for the 12x zoom which is terrific - it's the one thing I missed in the A610 which is what led me to the S3 (I bought the A610 primarily for underwater use with a housing). But the A610 takes fantastic pictures and is much more pocketable than the S3. You're right the A620 is hard to find now but they are around and sometimes you can catch a good deal (watch *******************).I haven't read the specs on the A630 so I can't help you there but I'm assuming it's very similar to the A610/A620 which are great cameras. The S3 has a video button right on the camera body which I've found pretty convenient. I can be snapping pictures one second and then with the press of a button I'm getting some video.

thanks for your help i really like both cameras ive been reading about them nonstop for the past week or so, haha, but i did read that the s3 had a video mode and i got to see a clip taken by one and i was completely amazed, it looked really good.
