Hi,

I'm deciding between the two and wanted your help. I'm leaning towards the D50 as I like it better in my hands. They say that the 400D is very much similar to the 350D in terms of ergonomics and Ididnt like the feel of the 350D in my hands.. too small. Now,if I buy the 400D and add a battery grip on it would it feel better?

Also, as far as tech specs, as I learn more about dslr's would there be features in the 400D that I would be looking for in the future granting I buy a D50 today? I dont want to be in a position a year or 2 from now saying to myself "I should've brought the 400D instead."

I dont print big so I would think the diff in 6mp and 10mp would matter.

Hope you guys and gals could help me on this.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

I don't think you'll think that. You'll think "I should've bought Nikon D80 or Pentax K10D"

So true!! Unfortunately, I dont have enough dough right now to buy me a D80 If I have enough cash, definitely this will take the priority.

Camera bodies come and camera bodies go, but the lenses you collect stay with you.

Whatever camera you pick you are buying into a lens accessory system that will lock you in to that brand unless you want to take a big hit when selling it all off to switch.
From what I am reading I really like that new pentax K10D, now I wish I had not sold off all my old pentax screw mount stuff, when I switched to Canon EOS system a decade or so ago. :-)
