IMHO buy some good lense instead of exchanging 350D into 400D.

Why do you want to buy it? What do you think it will do for you that the XT cannot?

Let's face it, there is always another camera coming out. IMO, you should buy equipment to fill a need your current equipment won't allow you to fill. Otherwise, what next? When canon comes out with another camera in February - trade up to that?

Heck - I don't even recommend buying more lenses until you can identify a specific need your current lenses can't meet.

So, was there something in particular you wanted that your XT can't do for you?

I guess the upgrade to 10.2 mega pixels, would it be better, or sharper?

The difference between 8 and 10 mp is fairly insignificant. In 99% of your photos you'd never notice the difference - unless of course you routinely print 20x24" prints or the like.

And one more thing about megapixels -- you must use really high quality prime lenses to notice difference with more megapixels.

I doubt you'll see any difference in details on any size of prints between 6Mpix 300D and 10Mpix 400D if cheap consumer level lenses were used to take pictures. This includes kit lense provided with Canon DSLRs.

That is very true as well, well said.

Mega-pixels doesn't always determine resolution.

You are told the truth.

Canon again has gone too far disabling features of it's entry level cameras.
