Hello all,

What camera would you prefer between these Canon ragarding to image quality, battery, price, etc.?

Canon SD550, SD600, SD700 IS or SD800 IS?

Is it ok to buy any of the 2 last ones because of the IS? AD550 has very good photo quality (I think...) and its CCD is bigger than the other ones. ANd of course, the price is lower in SD550 than the other ones. Please give and advice between these Canon cameras...

Thanks a lot.

If you go with the SD550....get another battery to carry along. It's battery is it's major achilles heel.

But, why Sd550 and not SD700 IS? I really want to know if the price is due to a better image queality in SD700 or not? Is it ok to spend 50 euros or sollars more in SD700 IS?

Thanks a lot

Not just the little bit in image quality, but other features such as IS will be beneficial in small cameras. With the SD series it's hard to hold a good shot than with a larger camera. So yes, go with the SD700 is the price is only that much apart.
