poppop-

Here is another S-6000 review that I stumbled upon:

Good shopping!

Thanks for the link to the review! I hadn't seen that site before. Good slide show of S6000fd pix. The S9100 is the update to the S9000, and I haven't seen more than about 1-2 reviews on it. Any idea why there aren't more reviews on the S9100 out there?

Poppop-

I am not positive, but I believe that the lack of reviews is because the S0100 is fairly new.

The CCD sensor size of S9100 is actuallyVERY big, comparing to others such as the new Canon G7 or the much praised Canon S3.

Canon G7 - 1/1.8 inch, 10MB, CCD

Canon S3 - 1/2.5 inch, 6MB, CCD

Fuji S9100 - 1/1.6 inch, 9MB, Super CCD HR

Fuji S600fd - 1/1.7 inch, 6MB, Super CCD HR

Olympus SP-510 UZ - 1/2.5 inch, 7MB, CCD

Super CCD HR is claimed to double effective pixels of regular CCD. Even if not, it is still bigger than comparable Canon's. In fact S9100 has the BIGGEST sensor in non SLR superzoomer cameras.

AFAIK Sony R1 has the BIGGEST sensor in non SLR superzoomer cameras (21.5 x 14.4mm APS-C sensor). OK, it's not a superzoom, but it's not a DSLR either:-)
