My daughter is interested in photography? What would be a good digital camera for her to learn with that doesn't break the bank?

The Canon A530 would be a good choice. What you want is something with good ease of use, that works well in a fully automatic mode, but also has good manual controls, like over aperture and shutter, so she can learn some more advanced techniques. Most of the Canon A series have that.

darkmatter,

On 12/28, you made a similar post. You received three replies to that post and never got back to anyone. Instead of continuing with the first post, you made another one. Now you've received a reply suggesting a camera that your daughter already has. Ken never would have suggested the A530 if he had read your first post. Please try to stick with one post until it's run it's course. If you don't get any replies, or you don't get the ones you want, then make a new post...but at least have the decency to respond to those who replied to your original post. You'll get a lot more activity if you give some feedback.
