I've been thinking of ordering it this week, and suddently the prices got hiked by $50 in just about every store (from $350 to 400)... That's much more than I was originally planning to spend on a camera, so now I'm stuck again looking for an alternative. Any suggestions? Sony TD10? Nikon 7Sc? Fuji F30/31fd?

I need a ultra compact with good image quality that would product little blurriness and noise, and most of the cam's I've seen from the ones I've listed produce lots of noise and blurriness. SD800 was the only one that I liked most.

Have you tried the SD700IS? It is quite good. The only sony i would consider is the T50 because the flash is much better. The Fuji f30 is good if you don't like using flash, due to the high ISO, but its outdoor shots (under certain situations) are worse than both sony/canon.
