This camera would surely not be my first choice in cameras. Please take a look at the list of cameras thatSteve has rated as "Best Cameras." You will findSteve's listat this link:

Surely you are able to purchase Kodak brand cameras where you live. For example, the Kodak C-533 (a highly rated 5mp camera) is listed as one of Steve's "Best Cameras." It is selling at Beach Cameras for just $(US) 102.99 with FREE domestic shipping. Your post does not indicate where you live, so I cannot custom tune my answer based on where you live.

I searched the entire internet and could not find any reviews of the HP M-627 either. Based on that, I think it would be preferable to begin the selection process anew.

Please tell us: where you live, what kind of photos you like to take, and how much you want to spend on your new camera. That will alow us to better make recommendations to you. We will happily await your reply.

imagefun,

Before you buy any HP digicam, I would recommend you visit our HP forum...

http://stevesforums.com/forums/view_forum.php?id=17

Personally, when I scan down the list of Topics, and I see a large number that have words like: "Problem"; "Problems"; Won't turn on"; "Parts?"; "Dark spot"; "Broken"; "Blotchy pinkish thing"; "Hot (to the touch); "Lens stuck"; "Worst cam..."; "Blue color"; and "Green tinge", all on the first page, I have a tendency to think..."Maybe I'll try looking at a different brand before I buy"...know what I mean?

thanks for your kind replies
I live in Morocco
photos, I'll be taking are mostly for the family, and I 'm also interested in taking landscapes pictures
I've looked at steve best cameras link, and but most of them are not available here
except Canon powershot A530

I've looked also at HP steved forum, and yes you're definitely right.

Thanks again

Since most of us here don't live in Morocco, why don't you give us a list of the cameras that are available to you, and are in your price range. Then perhaps we can help you with a selection based on your intended use.

I think the Canon A530 is probably a much better camera than the M627. I had one for about 6 months till I gave it to my sister. It's not a speed demon between shots, but picture quality is good and it has lots of manual settings available.
