hello,

I am planning to buy a new digicam. The models I selected are Sony DSC H5, Canon powershot S3IS, Kodak Easy share Z612 and Sony DSC H2. I am planning to buy this from Singapore.

I am bit confused. My budget will be around US$350/ S$550. I am sure that I want to buy one of the above. wanted you guys help in finalising the product.

Thanks,

Sat

Personally, I would pick one of the Sony's, primarily because they seem to do a little bit better in low-light situations than the Canon S3. The Canon S3 reputedly has a bit better movie mode.

Both Sony's and the Canon are generally held in higher regard than the Kodak Z612.

My choice was the Sony H5 because of the better low light performance, ok to use ISO 400 whereas the Canon is good for ISO 200, but you will not be disapointed with either overall, regarding Singapore, you can buy cheaper in the U.S.

Again I would choose the H2 over the canon, images I've seen are as good as the H5.

Hope this helps.

Sat-

The Sony H-2is a wonderful camera. The only difference between the H-2 and the H-5 is that the H-5 is 7.2mp rather than 6.0mp on the H-2 and the H-5 has a 2 inch LCD while the H-5 has a 3 inch LCD.

Here is a no flash, handheld photo, taken from 35 feet away at ISO 400, using the H-5. The result would be very much the same if it had been taken with the H-2.

You will really enjoy the Sony H-2!

Hey Guys!!

is it true that Sony H2/H5 do not have panaromic stich for the wide shots ?

Also the do we have to use the Sony prop. memory stic only?

can we not use sandisk or kingston memory stics?
