I'm going to buy a Ultracompact camera, but I'm a little bit confused about them. I think that Sony is a good brand for this kind of cameras, so, my question is:

Which camera DSC-W100 or DSC-W90?

Are there other cameras that are similar?

I'm new in this field and I have a up to 350€ to buy a camera.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Daryesh

The DSC-W100 has a 1/1.8" sensor which is bigger than 1/1.25" on the DSC-W90, however the W90 is a new camera being released and now has image stabilisation, so far I have seen no reviews on this camera.

The new replacement for the W100 is the DSC-W200 and will be available in April/May, also has I.S. as well as a12 Mpix sensor, again no reviews as yet.

I have the W100 and find it a great little camera good at high ISO's for low light shots.... also looking forward to seethe reviews onthe W200, and if it performs at higher ISO's,with theI.S. includedit would be an excellent camera, than I shall ebaymy W100for it.

Hope this helps

I bought Sony DSC-W90. Any test you would like to do? I'm not very keen in pictures.

Best regards,
