Hi, Have used the Olympus C-4000 for several years and very pleased with the quality and ease of use. Well I slipped and fell on the ice last week and dropped the camera. Bent the lens which was extended and not working at all now. Just to take a look, the camera shop wants $120. So I guess I look for a new camera. Need a camera for my Real Estate business taking photos inside and out. Would like somethingthat takes good quality pictures and is simple to use as other agents may be using it at times. Also would like a zoom lens. Any suggestions? Thanks, JimM.

The consensus for real-estate work is that you need are really short wide-angle (30mm equiv. or less) for interior shots and enough telephoto to crop out distractions for exterior shots.

Some cameras that do meet those requirements are the Kodak P880, the Kodak V705and the Panasonic LX2. Thesecameras are all very different from each otherso I'd suggest reading Steve's reviews of these models to get a feel for what's in the marketplace.

Even among these three there are trade-offs such as optical image stabilization, eye level viewfinder, external flash for bounce flash and of course size and weight.

You should also scan the older pages of this forum (JAN or FEB) because another real estate person was asking exactly the same questions and you will find the discussion applicable.
