My crappy digi cam (Kodak c330), decided to die before my next job kicked in and I could buy the nice 10 megapixel superzoom I wanted So I could really use a suggestion for a good, very cheap camera that'll last me a few months. Higher optical zoom is preferable, but anything over 3x will do.

Two AA batteries

6X optical zoom

$199 at amazon.com, lowere elsewhere at internet stores.

I've also been seeing the Panny TZ1 drop below $200... superzoom in a compact body!

The Kodak Z-885 and the V-803 also now fit into the "at or below $200" category.

Thanks for the input! As of now, I'm leaning towards the lz-6/7, the t1 seems to bit a bit bulkier and the rechargeable battery means I'd be like less to carry it everywhere
