BOUGHT THIS CAMERA OF EBAY WORKS FINE APART FROM WHEN YOU LEAVE BATTERY IN IT TOTALLY DRAINS FLAT. THOUGHT BATTERY MIGHT HAVE BEEN FAULTY SO I BOUGHT A REPLACEMENT. DOES EXACT SAME THING ANY THOUGHTS GUYS N GALS????????.

Sounds like a faulty camera.

I have one, and the battery lasts for weeks if I don't take photos.

Had a similar problem with a Canon A540. Took it back under extended warranty and learned it was a defect in the camera -- sounded like some kind of internal short -- anyway they replaced the camera. Suspect you're in the same boat -- in fact since you replaced the batteries and the problem remained it's hard to see how it could be anything but a camera problem...
