hi there all..

our compact digicam purchase has come down to these two - the canon sd800is and the olympus stylus 780. why these 2? no great reason but my parents have an olympus stylus 710 and my brother has an canon sd900. they both take great digital pics IMHO. i'm not sure the sd900 is THAT much better of a camera than the sd800is, except for the titanium factor so we are going sd800is for a little $$ savings. we think the stylus 710 is a great camera and with a few new features (like perfect picture preview), the 780 stylus ("flagship") might have the advantage because of the added protection of it's "all weather" capabilities.

thoughts? anyone come across a review of the 780? i googled a bit and couldn't find any reviews. i guess the 780 is very new to the market... amazon isn't even shipping them until 4/30/07.

thanks so much!!
