Hello, this is my first post in the forums. After hours and hours of reading different websites and reviews, i have finally narrowed down my options between these 2 cameras.. the SONY CYBERSHOT T10 and CANON SD1000.

I know steve's digicams have also reviewed both these cameras, but i still am having trouble choosing which one to get. I am just a "normal"user so i wont be fiddling about with the functions too much.. I am after small/compact size and style.

Now, for the CANON SD1000:
It is newer than the SONY T10, it is also has smaller dimensions which i really like.

It has a cooler design (slide the cover down to operate the camera) and the lens does not extend out of the body. (when you turn on the CANON the lense comes out - i do not like this)

Which one would you guys choose and why? Which one is a better performer? (Both have the same 7.1 megapixels) I also heard from other people that the cybershot takes poor pictures at night time. Can anyone confirm this?
