Thanks! I love your S6000, but DCs I listed are totally different. Their sizes are smaller than S6000. I understand it always has a trade off between DC's size and its outstanding picture quality. That's why I still can't find a good compact DC. :P

Why the Canon A-640 but not the Canon A-710IS? Yes, you give up the articulated LCD and the 4 AA batteries, but you get both IS and 6X Optical Zoom. These two cameras are about the same size. Please tell me your specific qualms about the A-710IS?

The A-710IS seems to, on paper, to beat both the Sony W-90 and W-200.

Another consideration is the Panasonic TZ-3. You get a smaller size, 28-280mm len with wide angle, and even some high ISO capabilities.

Thanks! A710 and TZ-3 are good compact DC and I do consider on my list.

However, I don't think there are any good DCs as better as old Sony DSC- W7 and Canon G6.

Sighssss.....

I have seen Canon G-6 and Sony W-7 cameras for sale on E-Bay. I agree that the Canon G-6 was a really capable camera. I don't have any hands on experience with the Sony W-7 camera.
