Newbie here!!. Been pondering which camera to buy and have decided to go with the D-80.. Now trying to decide which lens to go with. The 18-135 only for a while or buy the 18-55 and the 55-200.. I dont photograph professionaly, just take pictures of mostly nothing...lol Mostly use on trips and family gatherings. You might also recomend a good photo album program... I am all new to this stuff... but getting interested.

The Nikon 18-55mm Non VR and the Nikon 55-200mmVR lenses make a nice combination for your kind of shooting at a reasonabale price.

I have the 28-135, nice range, good results for a kit lens,

I also have the Nikon 70-300 VR for my wildlife

I have no regrets and enjoy my kit, so therefore recommend it without reservation

I would also say that with this combination, you change lenses less. I.e I am either going wildlifing or I just want a roaming about lens, I know which lens i want before I leave the house.
