I have been thinking about purchasing the Fuji S6000 to replace my 5200 which quit working. However, I have been seeing quite a few favorable reviews on the new S700. Any opinions on which is better? I know they have different features but are the photos from one going to be better than the other? Any opinions would be much appreciated as I am having trouble deciding!!

dcorb-

Please keep in mind that the S-700 ultrazoom uses a very conventional Sony branded imager. Therefore, it does not have the lowlight level/High ISO capability of the S-6000fd.

That is not to say that the S-700 is a slug, because it is certainly not, it is a huge bargain with many features and a great flash system.

However, the Fuji S-6000 is one of those lowlight level/high ISO environment kings. So the first choice is: do you want a family camera, or a high ISO capable speciality camera?

I have attached a photo sample from the S-700 for your review. It has a great lens that is able to record great detAIL.

I guess for some reason the photo sample did not attach. So here it is within a separate post.
