The price difference between S5 and S3 is not that much in Canada, the former is introduced with $549, while the latter still costs $449. Also, the processor is updated in S5, other than the things you noted

I did get a chance to see the S5 yesterday - the display really is a LOT better. Larger, sharper and considerably brighter. There's also face recognition software, and a couple of buttons have changed for the better on the back (just easier to push). But again, even with the hot shoe for flash and two extra megapixels, the S3 still looks like the better buy as long as the price of the S5 is hovering close to $500 (it was $475 at Best Buy).

Agree with you. I was thinking of buyingtheS5 but bought the S3 when it was recently on sale for a wekk at $349Cdn. I do not think the S5 is worth $200 Cdn more than the S3
