My current camera is an old 1MP Canon. It was good enough for most purposes, but I think it's time for an upgrade.

I'm looking for something I can take with me everywhere, so it need's to be compact, reliableand durable. I would prefer something with a metal body, but plastic is fine if it'swell constructed andhas that "solid" feel to it.

Anywhere from 6MP and with 3x optical zoom and video recording. Primarily will be taking scenic pictures, usually with lower light. I get to experience some of the most amazing sunrises, sunsets and full-moon peaking over mountain scenes. My current camera fails to capture the colors adequately.

My budget isonly about$200. I realize I won't be getting dSLR quality pictures, but all suggestions for a good fit are appreciated.

I'd suggest look at Steve's Best Cameras list in both the 6-10 MP sub-group and the Ultra-Compact sub-group: http://www.steves-digicams.com/best_cameras.html.

The Kodak C875 in the 6-10 group should be within your price range and is fairly compact. Others on the list should be within your price range and all offer excellent performance.
