My wife wants a new camera, but she is very particular. I am looking for one that meets the following criteria (if such a one exists):

1. Weight less than 6 oz (including battery and memory card)

2. Lens not located in upper corner of camera body (don't ask)

3. Either an optical viewfinder or a large (2.5 in or bigger) very bright LCD

4. Either optical image stabilization or high-quality, low-noise images at high ISO's (800 and 1600) for shooting in low-light conditions without flash.

Money is no object. Please do not suggest divorce.

I agree the Kodak Z885 is a good choice to meet your requirements.

In case you want more detail here is a link to my personal file.

Take a look at the Canon PowerShot SD850IS. It's pricey, but you say price doesn't matter. Weight, including batteries, is 6.9oz, which is a little over, but the stabalized lens adds that extra bit of weight. You can buy other Canons of this line that are 6 ounces, but without the stabalized lens. The 850 received a very good review from Steve.

Another one worth giving a second look at is the Olympus Stylus 780. The 5x zoom lens and weather-resistant design are appealing, but I haven't read any reviews on it, so that one's much more of a shot in the dark.
