Not according to this site's review page.

Is it a typo? I'm thinking of buying this camera souly for the 'IS' feature.

And btw, is IS really worth it?

Hey Track. Yup - it sure is a typo, as the A570 IS does indeed have image stabilisation ... hence the IS in its name, I guess!

There's another review here, which makes mention of the IS system, along with a couple of sample shots with the IS off and on, so you can judge for yourself: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca...t_a570-review/

Certainly in my experience with Canon's IS, it's a godsend when the light starts to drop, or when you're pushing the telephoto end. Or if you've had a few too many bourbons.

Cheers!

Track-

Carlos is correct. The Canon A-570IS has great IS and has also received excellent reviews. It is selling for around $190 on the internet. here is a handheld photo sample taken without flash inside a cruise ship.
