Congradulations! And good luck with it!

How can you stand not opening it up? It seems to me that, the sooner you find out that everything is in the box and in good condition, the easier it will be to return if it isn't. And the sooner you start using it, the less likely that you will want to 'go another route'.

I'm with TCav - there's no way I'd not use a camera I just bought for 2 weeks. In fact, my hubby bought me a camera for Christmas (I actually bought it but it was hisChristmas present to me). I bought it the beginning of Dec. and there's no way I wasn't going to use it before Christmas. What if there were some manufacturing defect, or if it had been damaged in transit to the camera store? What about return policies? I actively "tested" it until two days before Christmas, when I reluctantly let him wrap it to put under the tree.
