I am looking for a durable camera for my soon-to-be four year old granddaughter. Does anyone have experience with the Fisher Price or Disney ones? I see a lot of mixed reviews.

Thank you!

The response has been very mixed. Others in your same situation have opted for a lesser cost Kodak camera.

I got a cheap Fuji Z3 on ebay but I wouldn't recommend it because of the horrible picture quality IMO. It takes nice VGA videos though. Very simple to use, no extending lens, relatively sturdy and very small (credit card sized). And it comes in pink, my 5-years old daughter loves it.

Another interesting camera is the Olympus SW series. SW stands for Shock and Weather resistant. It means you can drop it and use it in water. It's pretty small and have all the bell and whistles you need to take good pictures. It costs at least 200$ (on ebay Olympus sell old models of that serie).

I'm not sure but as far as I remember those fisher price/disney cameras have something like 0.3 Megapixels. They won't be able to print good pictures.
