Hello,

I see many good cameras but none of them have the nightshot function that my old sony DSC-V1 did. I know you may be suprised that nightshot is my factor when choosing a camera. But I could make movies and take pictures with the DSC-V1 in the night - on parties or hunting.

I need a camera to be really small - like sony DSC-N2. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Sony's nightshot function switches the camera into an infrared mode and I don't know of any other manufacturer that offers that mode. Going to Sony's web site I find that they current offer that feature on two cameras, the DSC-H9 superzoom and the HDR-CX7 camcorder. Neither would be classed as compact.

Two compact cameras with decent low light capabilities would be the Fuji Finepix F31fd and the Kodak Z1275 but neither have true nightshot capabilities.
