Here's a site that reviews point and shoot digital cameras and rates them by different qualities, including macro shooting. According to the site, the Canon S3IS has the best macro ability.

No, but you'll notice that a lot of posters on this forum say great things about the S3is.

Perhaps you are not aware of the fact that the Olympus C-5050 that I mentioned over on e-bay was being sold by Olympus as a refurbished camera. And it comes with a full 90 day warranty. As an Instructor, I have purchased several refurbished cameras from Olympus and have never had a single problem with them. BTW, I have used and have experience with every camera that has been discussed in this thread, as well. Have a great day!
