Why not post this question in the dedicated forum near here as well, if you haven't done so already....

"Hybrid Still/Movie/MP3 Digicams" ( http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...orum.php?id=92 ) ...

...and see what they have to offer?

Good luck!

hey, yea, I might try that. i am actually leaningagain towards the S5 IS, I would love a super ccd fuji, but there are just too many drawbacksat the time, and while I am fairly dissapointed in the s5 performance, even after running it through noiseware on the sample images I have gathered, I am suspecting it may yet still be the best overall package for my diverse needs and specific requirements....but no reason to end the hunt yet

oh,and just incase you haven't seen them, I wanted to show you a few links to some of the S5 video and audio capabilities, it is truly outstanding when compared to other cameras:

(I don't know how to actually link here, so I am afraid you will have to copy and paste the old fasihioned way, but I think you will find them interesting if you havent seen them all yet)

ALERT IF YOU CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING VIDEOS THEY WILL NOT LINK YOU TO THE RIGHT SPOT, YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY COPY AND PASTE THEM IN THE BROWSER, BUT THEN IT SHOULD WORK FINE SORRY!!!

this is the most oft refered to, so I suppose I should list it first, it really shows off both zoom, IS, image quality, and audio:

Now, there was one video that really captured how awesome the auido is, but it has been deleted (it was picking up a normal conversation from something like 30 feet away) But check out this one. start it and first see how far away they are filming, and how much noise there is going on, then you can feel free to fast forward to the 50th second. Watch the shovel. Listen for the shovel--you can hear him scrap it and then roll it down (53rd and then 55th second), it is really very impressive audio for a camera:

I don't know how much this is zoomed in, but it impressed me with audio as well:

Now this next guy messes up in his review of the S3 IS (the S5 little brother, but the same video capabilities), nontheless it shows how solid the image can look:

and this one

and finally some action, and then a macro video and a 60fps test:

Awesome macro:

and the 60fps, though I don't fully understand the video and lighting....

now, I think you should take the time to look at some of those, they are pretty intresting. I wish that best auido example was still available online though, it was incredible.

and while it is not a full fledged video camera at this point, it seems head and heels above the rest of the competition in overall video/audio quality. If only the stinking thing had better low light performance, just a little better 400 ISO is all I am asking...ugh...

but if only the s6000 had OIS lol....anyway, I don't know what the heck to do, but I thought you might find those videos interesting coming from a digital camera, so i figured I would share since I have spent so much time now hunting down videos from various cameras.
