I am looking for a compact camera to use when I don't want to bring my dlsr. I have looked a bit, but don't know the reputations of the compacts. I'd like a camera that will fit in a pocket and do the things that my dlsr won't. Perfect image quality isn't the most important thing, but I'd like good quality. I'd like one that is easy to carry, takes decent pictures, is decent in low light, good movie mode, and is quick and easy to operate. I've been leaning toward the Casio V8, as it is small enough and I like that the lens doesn't extend. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on this camera? Or have another one to suggest?

Thanks in advance

Well, I'm not an expert, but after a lot of research I'm trying to decide between Canon SD850 and Canon SD870.

I've been using Flickr's "camera finder" tool a lot as well, to check photos taken in different situations.

Hopefully my reply was somewhat helpful
