While we're on the subject, if I go with the D80 I know I'll want the 50mm 1.4, some sort of general walking around lens like Nikon's 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G DX (or even the 18-55mm kit lens) and eventually something like the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 ED-IF AF-S VR.
It looks like a pretty good arsenal to me.
You might consider the Tamron 17-50/2.8 instead of the Nikkor 18-70/3.5-4.5. The Nikkor is a fine lens and it has a longer zoom range than the Tamron, but the Tamron's f/2.8 constant aperture is really handy sometimes. I suspect that you've chosen to include the 50/1.4 because you appreciate available light photography and/or shallow depth of field. I think the Tamron will give you more of that than the Nikkor will. I have one and like it a lot.
