... I also had the opportunity to try out the range of the 85mm lens (thanks for the tip) and I think the range is enough for me so I stick with something similiar. I think the choice now is between nikon d80, sony a200 and canon 3d. ...
The problem with the Sony is that, while it does have some really fine lenses, the selection of fast medium telephotos isn't as good as Canon or Nikon, and they're expensive.

Here's the approximate prices for lenses that might work for you:

Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM $339.95
Canon EF 100mm f/2 USM $389.95
Nikon 85mm f/1.8D $399.95
Pentax SMCP-FA 77mm f/1.8 $574.95
Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM $899.95
Nikon 105mm f/2 AF-D DC $924.95
Nikon 85mm f/1.4D IF AF $1,024.95
Nikon 135mm f/2.0D AF DC $1,074.95
Sony 85mm f/1.4 $1299.95
Sony 135mm f/1.8 $1,349.95
Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM $1,689.00

The only two Sony lenses are well over $1,000 all by themselves.

Thank you for the list. Guess it will be hard to find a good bargain for the sony then.

By the way I found some old Nikon cameras and lenses in the attic!
3 prime lenses:
35 f/2
50 f/1,8
105 f/2,5

I cant really see any more info on the lenses (except they are from nikon), how do I find out if I can use them on a new camera. I estimate they were bought late seventies to early eighties. Guess I'll have to use manual focus with them but a free meal is always a good meal.

If I can use them I think the choice isn't too hard anymore.

You can post a topic in the Nikon Lensesforum that contains the info that's engraved on the lens, including the serial number (plus photos, if you can). Someone there should be able to tell you if they'll work on a D80. If nothing else, you might be able to go with the D200 instead of the D80. The D200 works with a lot of older lenses that the D80 won't.
