I currently have this camera http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/p93.html. But i am wanting to upgrade to the Canon S5. I want to have more options. I mainly take pics of the kids at home and some sporting events that I attend. I found that the sensor of the sony dsc-p93 is 1/1.8 super HAD CCD which is larger than the Canon S5 (1/2.5 CCD). I have been happy with the image quality of the 93. does anybody have any idea if the quality will be good with S5? here is a pic of my son in fall of '06......with a little help from photoshop....

Even though the Canon S-5 has a smaller CCD it is capable of excellent images. And it has the advantages of a rotatable LCD and a hotshoe.

sennsm-

I will be happy to post an indoor photo. But you must keep in mind that I think that the S-5's built-in flash is woefully underpowered. Therefore, the photo sample has been done using the Canon EX-430 flash on that very handy flash shoe.
