I am contemplating which one I should get. The reason I make this comparison is coz I already have a 2GB card for the Sony but not for the Canon. Owing to this the total price works out to be the same.

I like the bigger and better LCD on the Canon but am tempted by the IS feature on the Sony. Image quality is most important for me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Most probably as much as anything, the form factor of those two camera seems to make then exact opposites. The Canon SD-750 is small, but chunky, whereas the Sony W-120 is much more out of the thin, credit cardsized camera tradition.

If you deal with the form factorissue first, the search will, I sincerely believe, will be a good deal easier.

Thanks Sarah. I compared the specs using Steve's comparison tool and the Sony works out to be marginally lighter (by about 16 grams so not much really).

I went to a local store to check these two cameras out and find the Canon physically much more pleasing. That 3 inch display totally floats my boat!

So it does really come down to bigger display vs. image stabilization. Still confused on this, hopefully I'll be able to make up my mind soon.

Thanks also brokenbokesh, those sources were helpfull as well.

I think you have answered your own question, after handling both cameras, which is a very important step in the selection process. You have to go with your own personal feelings.

And as I understand it, the SD-750 pretty well convinced you today. So please go with your gut feeling.
