My wife would like to know which Fujifilm Camera is in the same class as the Canon SD950IS ELPH?

What are the Pro's and Con's, and which one is rated above the other? Which has the more going for it?

She wants to get the most for her money, which I don't blame her.

She like both Canon and Fujifilm but does not know which cameras are in the same class. She likes the SD950IS but wants to compare Fujifilm same model? :|:P

I'd guess the F50fd Fuji would be the closest to the Canon if you're trying to compare apples to apples.

We have a F40fd - and quite honestly - haven't never been overly thrilled with it. I recently bought a Canon SD870IS -and- a Canon SX100IS with the idea of replacing the Fuji with one of them - and neither seemed substantially better than the Fuji F40fd. I have read that the F50fd is a better camera than the F40fd.

I returned both the Canons and bought a Sony DSC-H10 to try (slightly larger than a P & S - but still fairly compact) and so far we've been thrilled with it.

The Fuji F100fd seems closest to the SD950 IS. Here's a recent review;
