I need a digicam that is really waterproof and dustproof to the extreme... The Pentax Optio W60 seems very qualified to do the job... But I haven't found pictures taken by this camera around the net.

I dont care really too much about how many MP the cam has. Anything higher than 4MP would be ok for me. Optical zoom is a must, 3x would be the minimal. I'd like the cam to have a good lens system. (What is 10 MP good for if the lens are just average?!)

The cam should accept SDHC cards, which is probably standard on new cams... Movies made by the cam should only be limited by the space left on the memory card.

It would be nice if the pictures taken with the flash were not too bad. (A lot of digital cams have a lot of problems with this...)

Thank you for your recommendations!

The W-series cameras from Pentax have really done a good job in thewaterproof/underwater speciality area. Here is a photo sample that I found over on http://www.pbase.com.

Test pictures for W60 are here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_...0_samples.html

In last 3 years I made a lot of pictures with Pentax W (WP,W10,W20,W30,W60) cameras:
pictures: http://public.fotki.com/Primoz/
movies: http://www.dailymotion.com/playlists/primoz
(pictures and movies made with W60 are generally even better than made with older W cameras, so ...)

Another really waterproof and dustproof cameras are Olympus SW (720,770,790,1030): http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_...0_samples.html (sample pictures for Olympus 1030SW)

Here: http://public.fotki.com/Primoz/1030swvsw60/ is comparison between 1030SW and W60, based on Steve's test pictures.
O = Olympus 1030SW
P = Pentax W60
a = original
b = enlarged
ISO = actual ISO
