I have used non-digital SLR with close-up lenses and tripod for great macro photography of flowers. I don't have the non-digital SLR camera and lenses anymore. I want to get into digital photography. I have Canon Powershot A520 (4 megapixels). My close-up shots have been blurry even with good lighting and what I thought was the macro setting. I don't know if I am doing it wrong or the camera just isn't up to the task.

Any help would be appreciated.

Shouldn't be blurry - post a couple of pics, and we'll take a look.

Is your camera set to the minimum zoom? If there's any zoom in use your macro shot will be blurry.
