S6000 far and away the best low light performer of the three...largest sensor...widest angle lens...only one with manual zoom and focus rings...only one that takes four AA batteries - 5 good reasons why I bought one.

You realize that these are all old, outdated cameras, don't you?

Sorry, I don't know what 'atd.' means...

Falcon-

I own and actively use the Panasonic FZ-7, the Kodak Z-1012, and the Fuji S-60000. Rinnie is 100% correct in saying that of the three cameras, that the Fuji S-6000 is the clear winner. Here is an ISO 1600 photo taken with the Fuji S-6000.

Falcon-

The Fuji S-8000 is a good camera but it is not in the same high category of the S-6000. IMO the Panasonic FZ-28 would be my preferred choice over the S-8000. I own and regularly use both cameras. Here is a FZ-28 no flash/existing light photo, taken at ISO 800, that demostrates the flexibility of the FZ-28.

I would agree with you Sarah, that the FZ-28 would be the pick of that litter, but now you're bringing in a current model camera to compare against some that are nearly 2 years old. The OP, for whatever reason, was asking for help selecting from his list of 3 cameras.

The S8000 has some nice features of its own, when compared to the others on the OP's list... a wider angle lens, a larger zoom range, four AA's, USB 2.0, and a remote.

I would have to disagree with you Sarah, that the FZ-28 is as good as you say at ISO 800. Your EXIF shows an ISO of 320 for that pic, not 800. There's no way the FZ-28 is any better than the S8000 at ISO 800. I'm not saying it isn't a better overall camera, but the example you posted is misleading.

Compare the image quality at ISO 800 on both here:

Thanks, Rinne-

I was shooting numerous photos using the IA feature with an ISO 800 limit. But you will admit that it is a pretty good photo, won't you?

I have had very good luck with the Panasonic FZ-28, and I like the camera a lot. I guess that is the bst one line summary that I can give you.

And yes, I am one of the very few folks willing to post a sample photo with every post when I can. Sample photos do make a difference to some folks who are attempting to decide on a camera.
