after looking at the "Best digital cameras" of this site, there is so many cameras to choose from, they all have different pro's and con's and really confuses me on which is overall the better one.

im looking for a camera to take good pictures in the evening,
good quality flash
and good indoor picture quality

i have a price range of maximum of $250 ( this is in AUD )

(a)Are you planning to use the proposed camera's built-in flash unit to take these photos?

(b) Generally speaking, how far away from your subjects will you be when taking the flash photos?

(c) Tell us a bit about your photographic experience, please.

The Canon IXUS 80 is popular -

If that is over the budget then try the Canon A590 IS.
