Hi, was wondering which camera would be best to get between these two selections based on picture quality


would be great if there is another suggestion on camera around $200-$300AUD Thanks!

$300 Australian dollars is currently the equivalent of $204 American dollars. At that price, the Sony w150 is an option as well as the Canon SD1100is. Both are snappy performers with good image quality.

I agree with Andy, the Canon and Sony have an edge in picture quality. That said, the flush lens designs like the Oly 1040 are an attractive choice as a carry-everywhere cam. Ifthat aspecttrumps photo quality then some other flush lens models to consider are the Fujifilm Z100fd and Nikon S52. Their photo quality won't be a lot different from the Oly, but one of those may have controls that you like better.

Thanks for the info, so thats mean Panasonic lumix FS5 is worst off as in quality compare to W150 or the canon? How about Ixus 80?

I think all three cameras are very good. The question of which is best for you depends on your assessment of their build quality, ergonomics and picture quality. Panasonic, Sony and Canon have their own ideas of what constitutes good picture quality.

Thanks might be going for Panasonic FS3 instead.... Theres much complain that Sony W150 has alot of problem as in Battery is bad and as well picture quality when is being printed

Any comment in olmypus 1040 as well? the selling price is almost the same as well

Any comfirmation about this? Thanks!
