Here is another shot that was taken with my old Pentax. Can you comment on any difference in quality?
thanks Lani

Lani-

The photos were a perfect size. You are doing well. You can see the photo quality difference between the old Pentax and the new Pentax.

Thanks for posting, Lani. You figured it out very well. Its great to see you having fun with your new camera. It the first photo because it was a darker and rather dull day, you could have added a bit of fill flash from the K-200's built-in flash unit.

Enjoy!

It is hard to comment on quality for3 reasons, 1 they are small photos so actual detail is missed, 2 the 2nd the shot from your older camera looks like the focus wasn't on your dog but rather further back, you are comparing a close up with a much wider shot so again detail is changed.

Sarah is correct though that some fill flash could help out, also be aware that shooting in snowy conditions is likely to confuse your camera to think thinks are brighter than they are an thus under expose so you might want to try some exposure compensation.

Looks like you are off to a good start with the new camera though an I really hope you continue to enjoy using it.

Happy shooting,

Mark
