I don't know much about photography at all and I am looking for a compact digital camera to travel with, I want to spend around $250-350 NZD (I live in New Zealand), I will buy from wherever is cheapest so pricespy.co.nz I want portability and conveinence to come first followed by clean ergonomics and finally overall photo quality. I would like the camera to last me a few years so durability is also a plus.

Also note that I have been looking at the canon 80is which looks nice would this be a good choice.

Any suggestions are apreciated even if you just post a model number, thanks.

That is a very confusing site, as they mix in prices for conversion lenses with the cameras! Anyways, their prices for the Canon A2000, various Canon IXUS models, Fuji F40fd and F60fd, and Sony W150 all look reasonable to me. You can search this forum for any particular model for more comments.
