I am a digital video camera novice, but I have a project.

I need a camera to record my wife's online cooking videos (hopefully for sale). Most of the shots will be pretty close andsome very close for showing different technics.

I will buy: lights (soft not full flood), aheavy rolling tripod andchromakey screen.

I already have a variety of laveliers to try and Sony Vegas video software.

So, might the $225 Aiptek be as good as the Sanyo HD1000in my hands? The Sanyo is more than double the cost of the Aiptek.Or should I bite the bullet and go for either the HD1000 or the HD2000 if that is available when I'm ready to pull the trigger?

...Or is there another digital video camera that I really owe it to myself to investigate?

TIA!

Might I be better off buying something like a Nikon D60 or maybe a Cannon Rebel and adding audio externally? (a real pain in the butt syncing, but it can be done)

I don't think those cameras have inputs for microphones....
