i was going through some reviews online
i read that cannon 80 is good at low ISOs but isnt that good at ISO 400 and above
more over cannon doesnt have that wide lens so a large picture may not fit in
i was searching for Sony 210 reviews couldnt find any
can any body throw some light on this and tell does these review would actually matter that much

I's just like to add here that these are very rare on small cameras now. They were very necessary only a few years ago when LCD screens were small and relatively dim. Now they're bigger and brighter, but still not bright enough for some conditions, in my opinion. In really bright lighting, if the sun is falling on your face, you'll often see a beautiful picture of yourself reflected in the screen, instead of what the camera is looking at. So on the rare occasions I use my little Casio compact (end-2005), I often use the optical viewfinder. It's still a bit of a problem on my daughter's viewfinder-less Christmas08 Rollei XS-10.

Of the 20 compacts in the May set of minireviews by my local camera shop, only the Canon A-1000 has one. He (another Steve) likes it, but says "...amazing quality pictures if you set it right...wide range of features...Not for the happy snapper". See http://www.wrexham-cameras.com/WHATS-NEW/BD-4.htm
