Default Canon Xsi or Canon X1i?

Just posted this thread under the canon forum but then realized I should have posted the thread here. Sorry!

I am finally going to purchase my first DSLR after getting annoyed with the limitations of a bridge camera. I am looking at the Canon Xsi and Canon X1i. I mostly take pictures of my very active 1 year old boxer and nephew's soccer and baseball games, so I'll probably use it on the sports mode. Which camera would be the best value?

Currently, Costco is offering the Canon Xsi with two lenses (18-55 IS, and 55-250 IS) for $930. and the Canon X1i online delivered for $850.00 with one lens (18-55 IS). The Canon Xti is offering a $300.00 rebate but only if you purchase it with their all in one printer, which wipes out the rebate because it sells for $280.

The XSi is a very nice camera. The T1i is an improvement. The most noticable improvement is ISO 6400 vs. 1600 from the XSi. The 55-250 sells for about $260. So there's about $180 price difference between the options. IMO, I'd definitely get the T1i for $180 more. Stretch a little bit now and you'll be happier a year from now. That's just me.
