Default D5000 or D90

I am really beating my self up. I found a D5000 with no recall but just the
short 55 lens kit. The D90 I found on sale is $1100.00 with the 100 mm kit lens. Other than the money and the angle lcd what should push me to one or the other!!. I like a longer lens but I can get one for the 5000.

I went through the same choice-

I went through all of the features available on both the D-90 and the D-5000 cameras. After deciding the features that I really needed, I purchase the D-5000, and have been very pleased with my purchase.

Thanx Sarah
If I got the D5000, do you think I should buy one body only and pick a lens
I know it should be VR, I like doing some bird pics, I do have a p90 I have been using for that but what might be a good lens , longer than the 55 that comes in the kit? I think I can get a body for 750. And then I really have the difference from buying a D90 for a single good lens, $350?
Bob
I am gomma gronfd through this decision!

Zilbog-

The kit lens is a bargain so you might as we pick it up. www.amazon has the D-5000 body or the D-5000 camera with kit lens at a lower price than you now have. They also have a 30 day return policy with no restocking charge.

Thanx Again
Is there another lens you might recommend? There is a 2 lens kit. The only problem I can think of with Amazon is getting stuck with a recalled one . Though maybe they are past those.

zilbog-

If the D-5000 is on the recall list just return it and reorder later. The Nikon 55-200mm lens is well priced and quite a good lens.

Default D5000

I ordered the D5000 today from amazon $775 with 2 day shipping.
Thanx Sarah , you talked some sense into me . I will worry about the lens a little later,

Congratulations on your new Nikon D-5000 camera, Bob-

It is a great camera and I know that you will enjoy it a lot. Post some photos when you have a chance.
