Default Need help selecting a Ultra compact camera.

As the title says, I'm currently in the market for a sub 200$ ultra compact point and shoot camera. I'm planning on buying the camera from bestbuy because I have some store credit there. I went there today and wrote down most of the acceptable option and prices, but so far I'm having trouble finding the best fit for me.

Cameras (in no particular order):

Canon PS SD1200 (179.99)
Samsung TL100 (179.99)
Kodak M341 (149.99)
Sony W220 (179.99)
Nikon S230 (199.99)
Nikon S570 (199.99)
Fuji J38 (129.99)
Samsung SL202 (119.99)
Sony W180 (149.99)
Kodak M340 (139.99)
Nikon S220 (139.99)
Olympus FE 4010 (149.99)

For me paying something around 150 would be the best, but I included the 200$ ones because at the end of the day if I can't get decent photos then the extra money might be worth it. I guess I'm looking to figure out which one is the best value in terms of quality vs. price.

Thanks to everyone for reading and please post your comments I need all the input I can get!

Hi, BetaPhoto !

From your post I assume that priority #1 is to carry your camera in pocket, hence the "ultra compact"
#2 is obviously a budget abot $150, but under $200.
That's fine starting point !

All in all cameras in your list are very similar characteristics, so best action plan would be go to store and try how it feels to hold them in your hands.

My choice would be Kodak M341, because it has slightly better optical zoom (5x) than other cameras (3x) and big LCD.

It's always good to be able take closer shots !

Canon PS SD1200 is only one with optical viewfinder, so if you prefer to look through viewfinder and not in LCD (like in bright sun where LCD picture may become pale) then it could be your choice.

Thanks for your response. You are correct with your assumptions, I'm looking for a pocket camera and unfortunately I am on a budget. From reading reviews online it seems to me that the Canon SD1200 and the Kodak M341 are definite front runners. I've managed to narrow the list to 5 choices now, and I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions (pros and cons of each).

The list:

Canon PS SD1200 (179.99)
Samsung TL100 (179.99)
Kodak M341 (149.99)
Sony W220 (179.99)
Sony W180 (149.99)

Thanks!
