Thanks for the reply. Apparently any EF or EF-S will work on a modern Camera!

You can use EF or EF-S lenses on a newer Canon dSLR model with an APS-C size sensor (but note that some of the earlier models like the D30, D60 and 10D cannot use EF-S mount lenses). Also, if you plan on going to a Canon model with a full frame (35mm film size) sensor anytime soon (for example, the EOS-5D Mark II), then you may want to reconsider spending a lot on EF-S mount lenses unless you plan on keeping the body you buy with an APS-C size sensor (since EF-S mount lenses are designed for APS-C size sensors and project a smaller image circle than needed for a larger sensor or film size).
