JohnG I think the test at the bottom of the page I emailed you may be more representative. I'm by no means an expert but with my limited knowledge I can say the FZ20 would struggle under these conditions. In any case, 10fps is pretty cool!

The test I see at the bottom of the page is a boat moving left to right across the frame. If that's the same test you're talking about then it's not a good test IMO as a sports photographer. Again, not saying the camera is bad - just the test.

You should also be aware of the buffer handling of that camera - it waits until you stop holding the shutter then writes the images. According to the review over at DPReview that can take upwards of 17 seconds to write those images. That's a tough pill to swallow in the real world.
You might also look at some of the other CONS listed in that review before you make your decision.

All of which goes toward the topic of this thread - which review to trust. The answer is - never trust a single review. You have to do a composite of all reviews. In the end, I'll re-iterate my advice: as a sports shooter I wouldn't draw any conclusions from the flawed action test performed on this camera at Cameralabs.

Without a doubt! Which is what prompted me to start this thread in the first place. The hunt continues...
