Thanks sarah, thats good to know.

Now as far as price, i can get that T1i right now for $750, do you guys think the price will drop any time soon being that its the holiday season? When are the new models coming out? Any stores i should look out for that will discount the camera on black friday? Also, are there any websites that off good deals on these cameras?

Edit:

I found this website (adorama) after going through the forum.

What do you guys think about refurbished? I have bought refurbished products before but never a camera?

One thing i don't understand is why the refurbished is the same price as this new T1i

The T1i is relatively new. If there are any holiday discounts, they would likely have been announced by now, and they would likely be on the older modles, the XS and XSi.

The warranty is a lot shorter, and it's with Adorama, not Canon.

I must have missed the warranty part. Now the real question, do you think i can get a better deal than the $750 for the camera body and lens kit i posted above??

I have been looking around on the board and see that the Canon XSi and T1i are fairly comparable. I know the T1i can take video but i probably wouldn't take video with it and if i did, it would be once in a blue moon.

Its at least $150 difference and i was wondering if the T1i was worth the extra $150? I see that the XSi is a 12.2 mp camera where as the T1i is 15. Will that really make a difference in the way my picture will come out?

I think im leaning towards the XSi. There a couple things i would need to buy right off the bat. A camera bag/back pack and a spare battery if i was to go with the XSi i posted above. Now i know some of you have said that the ebay bundle deals are not so good but with this one even if the other stuff is cheap garbage the spare battery alone is worth it IMO. Let me know what you guys think

Normally I would caution you about E-Bay items. However, in this specific case, in the link you provided, The vendor is Cameta Cameras, who is very reputable. I personally have dealt with them multiple times and received excellent service.

So I would judge the Newegg offer and the Cameta offers well worth your consideration.

if you do not believe you will ever need to shoot ISO 3200 or video. the XSi will provide comparable image quality to the T1i. enjoy.

With the current $200 rebate available at Amazon and Buy-Dig, moving up to the T-1 to get an ISO 3200 capability is almost painless.
